DAY-WISE ITINERARY

Negombo (Arrival, Meet & Greet)

Arrive at the pre-booked hotel in vibrant coastal town of Negombo also called as the “Rome of Sri
Lanka” and meet the team. As the first activity, you will go on a canal boat tour and return to the hotel to rest.

Negombo to Dambulla (180 kms)

This day’s ride unfolds as a sensory delight, leaving the coastal towns, we head towards the central province. As we venture inland, lush greenery embraces the route, leading to cultural riches in Dambulla. We then continue to visit the iconic rock cave temple, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, showcasing intricate 2000 square feet of mural paintings and statues.

Sigiriya to Trincomalle (100 Kms)

The first activity of the day will be a hike to Sri Lanka’s most iconic landmark, Sigiriya Lion Rock. Rising dramatically over 200 metres from the central plains, the colossal rock fortress is adorned with vibrant frescoes and a majestic lion's paw/gate. A testament to ingenuity, Sigiriya is a captivating symbol of Sri Lanka's historical grandeur. From here, we proceed to the eastern part of the country to reach Trincomalle, famous for its Azure coastlines, beautiful beaches and large natural harbors.

Trincomalle to Polonaruwa (175 Kms)

Trincomalle is famous for its Hindu temples and the most famous one being Koneswaram temple built around 400 BC dedicated to Lord Shiva. After a visit to this temple, we explore the Fort Federick built in 1624 by the Portuguese with the debris of a destroyed Hindu temple. From here, we head inland towards Polonaruwa. Polonaruwa was an ancient capital city after Anuradharapura and its famous for its multiple Buddha statues, murals, sculptures of elephants, lions, dancers and much more.

Polonnaruwa to Knuckles Mountain (190 Kms)

From Polonnaruwa, we proceed to Knuckles Mountain riding along a beautiful national park. Our first stop will be at an indigenous tribe village and learn about their traditions, then we head to the Mahiyangana Raja Maha Vihara which is one of the 16 sacred places of Sri Lanka. Later we ride to Knuckles Mountain, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, known for its unique flora and fauna take a bath in a beautiful waterfall before settling for the day.

Knuckles to Nuwara Eliya via Kandy (145 Kms)

Our day starts with a short ride to Kandy, where we first head to Arthur’s seat for an aerial view of the terrain. Then we visit one of the most outstanding sanctuaries in the country, Dalada Maligawa or “Temple of the Tooth Relic” along the Kandy Lake. Later, we leave the lowlands behind and proceed to the tea plantations of Nuwara Eliya, also called as the Little England. Here, we get to see British colonial era buildings and sip some delicious tea.

Nuwara Eliya to Tissa (150 Kms)

This day we leave the central province and head towards the southern coast. Our first sightseeing stop for the day will be the Nine Arch bridge at Ella. The Nine Arch Bridge also called the Bridge in the Sky, is a viaduct bridge in Sri Lanka and is one of the best examples of colonial-era railway construction. After a quick photoshoot, we ride to Tissamaharama which is close to Yala National Park, the most famous national park of Sri Lanka which is home to Leopards, Elephants, Crocodiles and numerous bird species.

Yala to Galle (150 Kms)

Experience the thrill of an early morning safari at Yala National, where you can witness the incredible wildlife in their natural. Afterward, enjoy a scenic ride along the stunning coastline, with breathtaking views of the Indian Ocean leading you to Galle. In the evening, explore the historic 16th-century fort built by the Portuguese and a delightful dinner within its ancient walls.

Galle to Negombo (165 Kms)

This will be the last day of the tour and we start very early from the south to avoid the traffic and head back to Negombo. On the way, we stop for some pictures with the amazing Stilt fishermen which is considered one of the oldest fishing techniques of Sri Lanka. From relaxed turquoise beaches we ride through the busy streets of Colombo to witness the modern urban jungle and finally reach Negombo.

After breakfast, it's time to bid farewell to Sri Lanka and your fellow travellers. Note: Only International Driving Permits issued under 1968 Traffic Convention are accepted in Sri Lanka. If your home country follows 1949 Traffic Convention, then the IDP issued by local authority or 3rd party sites will not be accepted. Yes. Riders should carry a valid motorcycle driving licence from their home country and an **International Driving Permit (IDP)**. 2. What motorcycle will I ride on the Sri Lanka motorcycle tour?

You will ride a Royal Enfield Classic 350cc or Honda XR/Baja 250 dual-sport motorcycles suited to Sri Lanka's varied terrain, including winding mountain roads, countryside routes and coastal roads. The motorcycle provided will depend on availability and the tour package selected. Riders can also choose to travel in the support SUV instead of riding.

3. Is a Sri Lanka motorcycle tour suitable for beginners?

Our Sri Lanka motorcycle tour is suitable for riders with **basic to intermediate motorcycle riding experience**. You should be comfortable riding for several hours a day, handling winding roads and riding in varying weather and traffic conditions. Prior long-distance touring experience is recommended, but you don't need advanced off-road riding skills.

4. Is it safe to ride a motorcycle in Sri Lanka?
